Supply Chain Due Diligence Project
The Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Ghana together with the Global Shea Alliance (GSA) is collaborating on a project focused on training farmers, companies, and cooperatives in the shea value chain on the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act which takes effect from 1st January 2023. The Supply Chain Act in Germany imposes significant obligations on companies that source their products and services through supply chains, to comply with human rights and environmental standards and exposes them to potentially serious liability. This will also affect suppliers and partners in developing and emerging countries like Ghana.
